Champignons with lamb cheese

I haven’t shared a savoury recipe here on my blog yet, so it’s finally time for one. This is a recipe that I learned from my aunt in 2014 and since then I’ve made it several times, because it’s delicious, very easy to make, perfect as a garnish but as the main course, too, on a meat-free day.

The other thing I like about this recipe is that there are no specific amounts of the ingredients so it’s easy to change depending on how many people you want to cook for.

Ingredients for 5 people:

– approx. 10 champignons

– olive oil

– salt

– pepper

– Provance spice blend

– turmeric

– paprika

– dill

– 150 g lamb cheese or what’s even better: Manouri cheese

First wash the champignons well and peel the skin if needed. Take out the stems and fill the cap with the lamb cheese or Manouri cheese. Then drizzle olive oil on the champignons and season with the listed spices. In a preheated oven (180°C/356°F) bake them until turning brown and the cheese toasts a little.

I hope you liked this recipe and you’ll try it out!
